• Golden eagles have been observed around the Sea of Okhotsk ( especially along Northern Japan ) to join large numbers of white-tailed eagles ( " Haliaeetus albicilla " ) and Steller's sea eagles ( " Haliaeetus pelagicus " ) in winter to scavenge and capture various, locally abundant fish amongst ice-floes.
